Best Practices
The typical usage scenarios of the UGN are as follows:
- High-speed and stable intranet interconnection between VPCs. For example: -The deployment of multi-regional businesses in the online education/online live broadcast industry, which requires audio and video systems to be synchronized in real time. -The game acceleration industry requiring interconnection of multi-regional internal networks to achieve high-speed and stable intercommunication. -Multi-regional business deployment requiring multi-regional disaster recovery.
Case Description
An enterprise user has offices in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles, and some of their businesses are placed on the DezaiCloud. It is necessary to connect the cloud businesses in these three regions for unified management. The following are the detailed operation steps:
Pre-opening Checklist
- Confirm that there are VPC instances in the three available zones of Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles. In “Project One”, they are “VPC-GZ”, “VPC-HK”, and “VPC-LA” respectively.
- Since the business involves cross-border operations, confirm that the cross-border application has been completed. For details, refer to the cross-border dedicated line compliance inspection.
- Plan the intercommunication network segments to ensure that there is no overlap between the network segments.
Step One: Create a UGN Instance and Associate Instances
- Enter the UGN management interface in the console
Click on【All Products】—【Network】—【UGN】—【UGN Instance】TAB;
- Create a new UGN instance
Click【Create UGN Instance】, enter the “Instance Name”, and click【Confirm】.
Step Two: Associate Network Instances
The association of network instances can be completed at the same time when creating a UGN instance, or you can enter the network instance page for association later.
- Associate a network instance under the creation【UGN Instance】interface, and click【Confirm】to complete creation;
- Click【Manage UGN】on the UGN Instance management interface, select and enter the “Network Instance” TAB page;
Click【Associate Network Instance】, select the “Associated Project”, “Region” and “Network Instance Type” for the network instance to be associated, select the network instance to be associated, and【Confirm】;

Step Three: Check the Route Table
Click【Manage UGN】on the UGN instance management interface, and select and enter the “URouteTable” TAB page. The related route table information will be displayed on this page. Please confirm it is correct.
Step Four: Create and Bind the Bandwidth Package
Click【Manage UGN】on the UGN instance management interface, select and enter the “UBP” TAB page, and click【Purchase Bandwidth Package】 to purchase the intercommunication bandwidth packages between Guangzhou and Hong Kong, between Hong Kong and Los Angeles, and between Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

After the configuration is completed, you can preview the bill amount. Confirm it is correct and click【Buy Now】, and you can complete the purchase of the bandwidth package.
Step Five: Verify the Connectivity
Create a resource instance under each of the network instances at both ends, and ping each other. If the ping is successful, the connectivity is normal; otherwise, the connectivity is abnormal.
