Cross-region bandwidth package | Charged by cross-border access bandwidth package. Different types of bandwidth packages can be purchased according to business characteristics. Cross-region within the same area is automatically connected without the need for purchase. |
Instance management | Free of charge, but the possibility of subsequent charging is not excluded. |
Inbound traffic | In the scenarios of hosted environment and private line cloud-onboarding, the charging is included in the private line VR and hosted VR related cloud-bound bandwidth packages. There is a possibility of subsequent charging for UWAN and VPC cloud interconnection. |
Attributes of Cross-Region Bandwidth Package
The cross-region bandwidth package has three attributes: intelligent path, service level, and bandwidth type. You can select and match appropriate attributes for the bandwidth package according to the business characteristics.
Intelligent Path
Based on the DezaiCloud Global Backbone Network, there will be multiple paths for traffic forwarding between regions.
Intelligent Path | Explanation | Applicable Scenarios |
---|---|---|
General Line Path | A path that balances network performance and cost, or the default path when there are no multiple paths. | Payment, gaming, etc. |
Low-latency Path | A path with the lowest latency and optimal network performance. | ERP, etc. |
Low-cost Path | A path with the lowest cost. | Business scenarios with large upload and download volumes. |
Service Quality
This refers to the reliability of packet transmission between regions. It supports three modes: Diamond, Platinum, and Gold. The reliability of packet transmission quality decreases in sequence, and the selling price also decreases accordingly.
Service Quality | Explanation | Applicable Scenarios |
---|---|---|
Diamond | Prioritized scheduling and forwarding. | Scenarios with high requirements for network quality such as payment. |
Platinum | Scheduling and forwarding are secondary. | Scenarios such as gaming. |
Gold | Normal scheduling, best-effort forwarding. | Scenarios with general requirements for service quality such as uploading and downloading. |
Bandwidth Type
Bandwidth packages are classified into symmetrical bandwidth with the same speed limit at both ends and asymmetrical bandwidth with different speed limits at both ends, according to the speed limits at both ends.
Bandwidth Type | Guaranteed Bandwidth Proportion | Supported Lines |
---|---|---|
Symmetric Bandwidth | 20% | All lines that are already launched by default in DezaiCloud |
Asymmetric Bandwidth | 20% | Adjusted according to real-time situations. For details, please consult your account manager. |
Billing Modes
When verifying the charging value of the bandwidth package, DezaiCloud provides three charging modes: charging according to the fixed protocol bandwidth value, charging according to the Max5 peak value after peak shaving, and charging according to the used traffic.
Billing Mode | Billing Method | Billing Unit | Applicable Scenarios |
---|---|---|---|
Fixed Bandwidth | Pre-payment | USD/month, with a minimum purchase duration of 1 month | Suitable for scenarios with stable bandwidth or large bandwidth requirements |
Max5 Billing | Post-payment | USD/month, calculated based on the monthly enhanced 95th-percentile bandwidth peak and the proportion of effective usage days | Suitable for scenarios with small bandwidth or bursty business |
Traffic-based Billing | Post-payment | USD/month, with a minimum purchase duration of 1 day, speed-limited to 30M, billed according to actual traffic usage | Suitable for scenarios with small bandwidth and temporary usage |
Fixed Bandwidth Billing
Billing Method
Prepaid
Billing Cycle
On a monthly/annual basis; The bill is generated immediately upon purchase.
Billing Algorithm
- Total bandwidth cost = Fixed bandwidth of bandwidth package * Monthly unit price * (Valid Time / Total Billing Month’s hours) * Intelligent Path Coefficient * Service Quality Coefficient * Bandwidth Type Coefficient.
-If there are adjustments to increase or decrease the bandwidth within the bandwidth package in a month, the billing before the time node of the adjustment will still be calculated according to the original fixed bandwidth, and the billing after that will be calculated according to the new fixed bandwidth. At the same time, corresponding refund or supplementary payment operations will be carried out.
-The billing time is accurate to seconds.
-If the purchase cycle of the user is not a whole natural month, the final bandwidth fee for that month will be calculated as: the original bandwidth fee * the number of valid days / the number of days in the billing month.
Billing Example
For example: Customer A purchased a fixed bandwidth of 300 Mbps from Beijing to Shanghai at 10:30:00 AM on August 5th. The intelligent path is the low-latency one, the service quality is Platinum, and it is a symmetrical bandwidth. The monthly unit price of the product is 28.57 USD per Mbps per month. Then the monthly bill of Customer A is as follows:
Fixed bandwidth: 300M;
Monthly unit price of the product: 200 USD/M/month;
The coefficient of valid time this month: 26 days 13 hours 30 minutes 0 seconds / 31 days = (2246400+46800+1800) / 2678400= 0.8569
Intelligent Path coefficient: 1;
Quality of Service coefficient: 1;
Bandwidth Type coefficient: 1;
The actual bill for this month is: 300 * 200 * 0.8569 * 1 * 1 * 1= 51414 USD
Max5 Peak Bandwidth Billing
Billing Method
Postpaid
Billing Cycle
On a monthly/annual basis; generated at 24 o’clock on the last day of each month.
Billing Algorithm
1). If the actual billing bandwidth is less than or equal to the base bandwidth:
Total Bandwidth Cost = Base Bandwidth * Product Monthly Price * (Valid Time / Total Billing Month Time) * Intelligent Path Coefficient * Service Quality Coefficient * Bandwidth Type Coefficient;
2). If the actual billing bandwidth is greater than the base bandwidth:
Total Bandwidth Cost = Base Bandwidth * Product Monthly Price * (Valid Days / Total Billing Month Days) * Intelligent Path Coefficient * Service Quality Coefficient + Excessive Bandwidth * Product Monthly Price * (Valid Days / Total Billing Month Days) * Intelligent Path Coefficient * Service Quality Coefficient;
-
Daily Peak Value: Calculate the average value of one outbound and one inbound bandwidth every 5 minutes respectively as the peak value, and then take the larger value as one effective bandwidth peak point. There are 288 statistical points per day. After arranging them in descending order, take the 5th largest peak value as the daily bandwidth peak value.
-
Monthly Peak Value: On the settlement day, arrange the obtained daily peak values in descending order, and take the average value of the bandwidth of the top 5 daily peak values as the monthly peak value.
-
Base Bandwidth: After the user sets the peak bandwidth, the system will automatically calculate the base bandwidth according to the base rate.
-
Billing Bandwidth: If the monthly peak bandwidth in the current month is less than the base bandwidth, the final billing bandwidth is calculated according to the base bandwidth; otherwise, the billing bandwidth is billed according to the monthly peak bandwidth in the current month.
-
Valid Time: From the time the service is opened until the time of bill settlement, the billing time is accurate to seconds.
-
Total Time in the Billing Month: The actual total duration of the bandwidth package used in the calendar month.
Billing Example
For example: Customer A, at 10:30:00 on the morning of August 5, purchased a Max5 peak bandwidth from Beijing to Shanghai with a peak value of 500M. The default base bandwidth ratio is 20%, the intelligent path is low latency, the quality of service is platinum, the bandwidth type is symmetric bandwidth, the product’s monthly unit price is 300 USD/M/month, and the customer’s peak bandwidth for this month is 350M. The bill of Customer A this month is:
Base bandwidth: 100M
Limited bandwidth: 500M
Actual monthly bandwidth usage: 350M
Bandwidth monthly unit price: 300 USD/M/month
This month’s valid days: The customer’s service was activated at 10:30:00 on August 5, so the valid time is from 10:30:01 on August 5 to 24:00:00 on August 31, a total of 2,295,000 seconds, and the total time this month is 2,678,400 seconds;
Intelligent Path Coefficient: 1;
Quality of Service Coefficient: 1;
This month’s actual bill: 350 * 300 * (2295000/2678400) * 1 * 1 = 89969 USD
Traffic Billing
Billing Method
Postpaid
Billing Cycle
The smallest billing duration unit is day, and the bill is generated at 12 o’clock every day.
Billing Algorithm
Total Cost = Actually Used Traffic * Traffic Unit Price
-
Billed according to actual use, counting outbound traffic of both ends;
-
Traffic counting granularity is at least MB, less than 1MB is treated as 1MB;
Billing Example
For example: Customer A, at 10:30:00 on the morning of August 5, bought a traffic billing bandwidth from Beijing to Shanghai of 30M. The unit price of the product is 50 USD/Month. Today’s outbound traffic in Beijing is 100.35M and Shanghai’s outbound traffic is 50.2M. The bill for Customer A today is:
Today’s used traffic: 100.35 + 50.2 = 150.55M. Actual billing traffic is 151M as less than 1M is treated as 1M;
Today’s bill: 151 * 50 = 7550 USD;
